About Us
Reaching Our Communities "ROC" first began ministering in 1996 in a low-income, crime infested community in Virginia Beach called Trailer City. As a result of our seven years of outreach to Trailer City and it’s committed residents, this community saw a sharp decrease in crime and saw it’s first two high school seniors graduate from high school in two decades! Countless children, youth and their families were ministered to through various outreach programs. Today, ROC is a leader in ministry to under-resourced communities.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to effectively present the Gospel in such a way that at-risk children and youth are motivated and empowered to make a difference in their own families, neighborhoods and communities. Programs that assist not only the children but the entire family help to achieve this goal. Through ongoing partnership with local churches, businesses and other non-profit organizations and the generous support of our sponsors, Reaching Our Communities is able to make this possible.
